Christine Williamson

Nursery Manager

Hi, my name is Christine and I have the pleasure of being the nursery manager at Cherry Tree Nursery. I have been in childcare for 18 years and love every minute of it. I have an NC in Childcare and Education, HNC in Childcare and Education, BA Honours in Childhood Practice. I am very lucky to work at Cherry Tree Nursery and I have a wonderful team and great children and Families.

Sharon Wallace
Hi, My name is Sharon I have worked in Childcare for 15 years & gained my HNC at college. I work in the 3-5 room & enjoy being part of a supportive team. My favourite part of childcare is seeing the children grow & learn & build positive relationships with families.
Sophie Crichton
My name is Sophie, I am currently working with the children in the 2-3 playroom. I gained my HNC Childhood practice & then went on to complete my Honours degree in Childhood studies. I love working with all the team at Cherry Tree Nursery, we all support each other & it is a positive environment to work in. I love to see the children grow & develop and is a joy to work with them all.
Stevie McCormack
I have worked here for just over 2 years. I was lucky enough to be able to do my modern apprenticeship training here & then be offered a permanent job offer. I love being able to gain lots more experience & while getting to work with lovely people that offer me help & support daily. I really enjoy being able to help the children learn new skills & getting to be part of their learning journey. It's a good team of staff & having good relationships with all the children & parents in the room.
Jade Gallacher
I am the senior of the 2 to 3 room.  I have an HNC in Early Childcare & Education, & an NC in Childcare & Education, I have 10 years’ experience working in Childcare & I am enjoying my time at Cherry Tree Nursery.
Kate MacMillan
I'm Kate, the new senior in the baby room. I gained an Honours degree in Primary Education at Glasgow University and fully qualified in 2022. I did a few nursery placements throughout university and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to choose a career in early years! I love being a part of the Cherry Tree Nursery team as the staff have been so welcoming, kind and supportive since I've started. Seeing the babies develop, reach milestones and laugh every day brings me so much joy- I couldn't ask for a better job.
Lauren Caig
My name is Lauren. I have worked in childcare for 5 years. Studied my NC and HNC at college. I work in the 3-5 room which I love, we have a great team that support each other & learn from each other everyday. My favourite part of working in childcare is watching the children grow & develop each day & being a part of their development.
Danielle Curran
I am a newly qualified practitioner with 1/12 years’ experience at Cherry Tree Nursery. I have had the privilege of working in all three rooms a Cherry Tree Nursery & I enjoy them all.  I am currently in the 2-3 room where I am enjoying being a part of a well organised & fun team. I feel working with children is very rewarding as I see them develop first hand.
Kayci Carmichael
I am an apprentice, & I am training with Carousel.  I have experience with all rooms within Cherry Tree Nursery.  I am currently in the 3-5 room. I enjoy being a part of Cherry Tree Nursery as everyone is very supportive, this is helping me grow into a well-rounded practitioner.

Cherry Tree early childhood educators

are fully qualified, very experienced and extremely dedicated to their roles – many have been with us since it opened in 2000.

We truly value continuity of care and know how important consistency is in a young child’s life – which is why we our team is only made of of all permanent part-time and full-time educators. We employee regular permanent float educators which enables us to refrain from using “casual” or “agency” educators. This means that your child will always know and be familiar with every educator in the service!
